Our Story
From my first day as Sheriff, restoring Crime Stoppers was one of my priorities because I believe our citizens are one of law enforcement's greatest resources. This program provides a safe and anonymous way for individuals to share information about criminal activity, helping law enforcement solve crimes while protecting the identity of those who come forward.
To the best of my knowledge, Osage County Crime Stoppers was originally established in the late 1990s under the leadership of Sheriff Russell Cottle. Sheriff Cottle and his team recognized the value of partnering with the community by offering rewards for information that led to the arrest and conviction of offenders. We are proud to continue that vision and build upon the foundation they created.
Our mission is to empower our community to safely and anonymously report criminal activity, support law enforcement in solving crimes, and enhance public safety through partnerships built on trust, accountability, and shared responsibility.

OUR MISSON & GOALS
Establish a Standing Crime Reward Fund
Our goal is to establish and maintain a standing reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of person(s) responsible for crimes committed within Osage County, Oklahoma.
By providing meaningful financial rewards and a way for citizens to share information, we hope to encourage people with critical information to come forward and help law enforcement solve crimes throughout our county.
Establish a $5,000 Cold Case Homicide Reward
Our ultimate goal is to establish and maintain a standing reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of person(s) responsible for any unsolved cold case homicide within Osage County.
Time should never erase the pursuit of justice. We want families of homicide victims to know their loved ones have not been forgotten and provide an additional incentive for someone with information to finally come forward.
Build a Sustainable, Community-Funded Program
Crime Stoppers works because communities support it. Our reward program is funded through donations, making individuals, businesses, civic organizations, and community partners essential to our success.
Our goal is to build a sustainable fund capable of paying rewards, supporting Crime Stoppers operations, promoting public awareness, and expanding community outreach throughout Osage County.
